An opportunity currently exists for a Packing Operatorbased at our Tennyson Site on a full-time basis. This role will be responsible for ensuring the packing function is operated effectively in order to support site objectives. Ensuring inventory is managed and equipment is thoroughly cleaned in accordance with cleaning schedule. Assist in training new operators.
Key accountabilities include:
- Promote and adhere to Quality, GMP, HACCP and food safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Review quality and GMP performance including resolution of necessary corrective actions.
- Test and record results to product specifications (e.g. Protein, moisture, visual).
- Comply with site quality procedures, maintain all date required for quality management.
- Perform daily CCP checks and report any breaches.
- Follow operational systems to prevent contamination of product prior to and during loading.
- Operate system to manage product transfer, clean and maintain equipment to operational standards.
- Comply with all relevant WHSE legislative requirements, company and site policies, procedures.
- Participate in and promote a safety culture supporting the business to maintain a safe working environment.
- Complete all required records for packing operations, cleaning schedules and quality compliance.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Strong, relevant experience in packing and distribution.
- Forklift licence.
- Experience with Food Safety and HACCP.
- Cleaning of site and equipment to GMP standards.
- Knowledge of SAP (desirable).
- Able to work, Day, Afternoon and Night shift patterns and some weekends.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
