Job Description
We would welcome an Occupational Therapist who enjoys Paediatrics & is looking to make a difference in their local community.
Reporting to the Team Leader, your responsibilities include:
- Managing an allocated paediatric caseloadand completing therapeutic services in a timely manner
- Assessing participants emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
- Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
- Providing therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based and help participants get more out of life
- Providing support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home, school, work and residential facilities
- Recommending the provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and to promote independence
- Maintaining awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications
To be considered suitable you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in the NDIS sector preferred but not essential
- A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Well developed time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
