About the opportunity:
The Kickstart Collective team provide meaningful OT and Speech Pathology, as well as Animal-Assisted Therapy and Developmental Support Work for children. Our team manage a caseload that includes children and adolescents with a wide range of abilities. You will provide these services at Kickstart Collective, as well as the child's home, pre-school, and school environments.
Our approach to therapy is social and interactive; therapists and Kickstart clients interact dynamically with one another during their sessions. The result is a real-life experience that is enjoyable, spontaneous and rewarding for both the clinician and the child.
About you:
Our ideal candidate is creative, genuine, reliable and compassionate. They can confidently provide effective direct support for children and adolescents aged 1 years – 18 years who are living with a disability.
It’s ideal if you possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology (new grads are encouraged to apply)
- OR/ completed at least your 2nd year of the above degrees and desire an opportunity to work casually as an Allied Health Assistant to gain valuable, career-building experience
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current first aid certification
- Current CPR certification
- English fluency - verbal and written
- Proficient with technology and word processing
- Current driver’s license and willingness to drive
- Experience working/interacting with children
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor your language to children, parents and professionals
