Seeking a Registrar in Paediatrics - this role is accredited with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for a maximum core training period of six (6) months in General Paediatrics (Rural) without a perinatal component. In this role, you will assist the Senior Medical Staff in maintaining the highest standards of Paediatric services at the facility, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and effectively within our available resources.

The Facility
The Hospital provides health services, including emergency, outpatients, general medicine and surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, high-dependency, palliative, Telehealth and community mental health. The Hospital has an integrated approach to service delivery to ensure continuity, effectiveness and efficiency in the provision of health care. The Paediatric Department consists of a 9-bed General Paediatric Ward as well as a 4-cot Nursery. Acute and inpatient care includes a varied range of Paediatric and Neonatal conditions including chronic and complex medical issues as well as complex social challenges.
The Requirements
- Current AHPRA general registration and a minimum of two years practice within the Australian healthcare system is preferred.
- MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) at Level 3 supervision.
- Evidence of successful completion AMC MCQ (part 1) examination
- Evidence of recency of clinical practice, supported by current references.
- Neonatal Resuscitation and Advanced Paediatric Life Support (ALS).
- Experience and qualifications in Paediatric Medicine are well regarded.
