Position: Painting Trades Worker
Salary: $70,000 plus 11% super
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time
Location: 1/ 10 Gilmont Close, Kings Meadows TAS 7249
Experience required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant roles
H&B Painting Services is looking for a qualified Painting Trades worker to join our team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, cleaning, and applying primers.
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with the appropriate filler material.
• Ensure proper masking and protection of surrounding areas before starting the painting process.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using various techniques such as brushing, rolling, and spraying.
• Mix and match paint colours to achieve the desired shade and finish.
• Follow specific product guidelines and industry standards for application.
• Inspect work for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Make necessary touch-ups and corrections to ensure a flawless finish.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and precision.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
• Comply with industry regulations, including the handling and disposal of paint and related materials.
Qualifications:
• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or relevant.
Other skills and requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience as a Painting Trades Worker.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
