On behalf of our client, a world leading energy operator, we are currently looking for a Paralegal to join their team on a 12 month contract based in their Perth office. The primary objective of the position is to provide paralegal and administrative services for the company secretarial team.
The position will suit a current student studying a Bachelor of Law, a recent graduate or someone with previous paralegal experience who is able to work 2 days or 16 hours a week.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Assistant Company Secretary and Company Secretarial Officer to provide paralegal and administrative support to the Company Secretarial function.
- Filing of physical and electronic documents
- Preparing, collating, scanning, photocopying, uploading and formatting documents
- Transferring documents between workspaces and filing locations
- Arranging execution of documents
- Maintaining and updating databases
- Legal research on corporations law, petroleum law, greenhouse gas law, contract law, property law, competition law, administrative law and other legal research as required.
- Liaise with other internal stakeholders
- Studying for Bachelor of Law or have prior paralegal experience
- Corporations law knowledge and company secretarial experience highly desirable
- Highly computer literate, self sufficient
- Prior use of iManage and/or Boardvantage desirable
- Highly accomplished communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail with a service ethos for internal clients.
