  • Temporary and ongoing opportunities (35 hours per week)
  • Location: Parramatta with Flexible working arrangement 
  • Clerk Grade 3/4, Base Salary from ($79,032 - $86,539) plus superannuation and annual leave loading

OGIP is a high functioning group of people who are responsible for ensuring DCJ’s compliance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act), as well as complying with subpoenas and statutory orders relating to the provision of information.

What you’ll do 

The Paralegal will be responsible for providing legal, clerical, and administrative support, undertaking legal research, and making enquiries as directed by solicitors and other staff. In addition, you will be responsible for deciding applications lodged with DCJ under the GIPA Act, handling applications for access to information under the PPIP Act, facilitating the production of material for subpoenas and statutory orders. Vital to your success in the role is a high-level of written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage simultaneous issues and competing priorities.

What we’re looking for 

Roles require the following checks/clearances: 

  • Fingerprint checks are required to be conducted at a Police Station and obtained prior to commencing with DCJ.
  • National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
  • Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
  • Appointments are subject to reference checks.
