An exciting opportunity has arisen for several Paralegals to join our team on a full-time or part-time (4-5 day/week) basis for Vincent Young's:
- Construction group and
- commercial/insolvency group.
Vincent Young is a fast growing, dynamic legal practice specialising in construction, property and commercial/insolvency. We have 19 years of experience in construction law and are recognised as industry-experts. We are based in Sydney's CBD close to Wynyard rail station.

Job tasks and responsibilities
This position includes both administrative and legal tasks. Administrative tasks include file management, preparing itemised bills, providing full support for our legal team and taking phone calls. Legal tasks include drafting correspondence, collating briefs, preparing pleadings and legal research.
Skills and experience
Candidates will be undertaking or have completed law studies, with an interest in progressing their legal career within a specialised practice area.
For all candidates, some paralegal or office administration experience is highly preferred (but not essential) in the relevant practice area, or in a general litigation role We will provide training for the right person.
Additional skills and experience which would be beneficial in the role include:
- For construction candidates, a background or qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, construction, project management, real estate or architecture would be highly desired
- Ability to listen well and follow instructions
- Able to work well under pressure and meet urgent deadlines
- Excellent written oral and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A can-do attitude
- An inquisitive mind
- An interest or experience in construction related issues
