Part-Time Front Line Co-ordinator

About Us:   DBNC is a multidisciplinary community organisation dedicated to delivering a range of programs focused on community development, social, and economic inclusion. Through our Neighbourhood Centre community development program, financial and family counselling services, outreach family program, and employment and training initiatives, we aim to support individuals experiencing disadvantage in the Deception Bay community and surrounding areas. As the first point of contact for our community, our Front-Line Workers play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to those in need, including vulnerable individuals

Position Overview: We are seeking a Part-Time Front Office Coordinator to join our team. This position, requiring a minimum of 30 hours per week, involves coordinating front office activities, providing administrative support, and assisting with community development initiatives. The role reports to the Office Manager and involves passing on relevant information to ensure effective communication within the organisation

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide customer service and administrative support, including handling inquiries, scheduling appointments and maintaining records
• Facilitate the passing on of relevant information to part-time team members, ensuring effective community and continuity of services
• Assist in the development and implementation of community projects and events, collaborating with other DBNC team members
• Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the public, private and community sectors, demonstrating a customer service approach
• Keep up to date with new information generated from program areas or external stakeholders and timely dissemination of the same
• Work collaboratively as part of a team, managing time effectively and contributing to the achievement of organisational goals
• Engage with the whole community, focusing on community service delivery and client-centred support
• Demonstrate an understanding of community centred services, funding arrangements and the importance of client-centred care

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience and/or qualifications in community development, community services, human services, social work, or behavioural social sciences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement community projects and events. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders 
• Ability to work as part of a team and effectively manage time. 
• Understanding of community care services, funding arrangements, and client-centred services.
• Hold and maintain a valid C class driver’s license and current Working with Children Blue Card
