Ongoing Part Time Role

As a growing clinic, we are looking for our next team member. We have 8-20 hours a week available for the right candidate. There is some flexibility in the shifts we have available and the start date is negotiable.  The possibility exists to take on both the ongoing Role andLocum Role consecutively; starting with the locum and then transitioning with an existing caseload to the ongoing role. This combination would be a fantastic introduction to the clinic and our clients, and a great way to establish a caseload. 

Part Time Locum Role

The Locum Role is from the 22nd of March 2024 for 4-8 weeks (all negotiable). This role requires some afternoon to evening work; ideally to cover clinical exercise classes on Mondays (last class ends at 7.20pm) and Tuesday (last class ends at 6.35pm). Clinical Pilates teaching skills are essential, a skill refresher can be provided if required. A thorough clinic induction, clinical handover, class&equipment familiarisation and ongoing support will be provided. Physiotherapy consults are preferred as part of the Locum Role, but not essential. 5-15 hours, negotiable. Fixed rate remuneration unless commission preferred. The possibility exists to extend to an ongoing role on completion of the locum.

• Our clinic is fully equipped for running and cycling assessments; for those who wish to develop or utilise these areas of their skillset 

Role requirements

Candidates for this role must have:

• The right to work in Australia
•  Full AHPRA registration , please note this role is not suitable for temporary registration 
• A minimum of 5 years experience in musculoskeletal and /or sports roles, private clinic experience preferred
• Clinical Pilates teacher training and or strength and conditioning coaching experience is highly desirable for the ongoing role but not essential
• Experience teaching Clinical Pilates is essential for the Locum Role
• In general, a combined manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation approach to client care is a must. As a clinic, we seek to avoid creating a reliance on manual therapy. We frequently use manual therapy where clinically indicated. i.e.  for pain modulation or desensitisation; to facilitate clients actively engaging with their rehab. 
• Excellent communication skills and an empathetic nature.
