About the role:
This role encompasses both administrative responsibilities and direct support for our participants. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating participant goals, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support our team of support workers to create and work towards participant goals.
- Prepare progress reports documenting participant achievements, challenges, and next steps.
- Liaise with stakeholders such as participants, their families, support workers, healthcare professionals, and social service agencies.
- Engage in networking activities to establish and maintain relationships with community organisations, service providers, and other relevant parties.
- Perform general administrative duties.
- Assist in coordinating meetings, conferences, and other events, including arranging logistics and preparing materials.
- Support the team in daily tasks, which may include data entry, research, and other ad-hoc assignments.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and support across departments.
- Provide support work shifts to cover staff unavailability or last-minute participant support needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative role or similar capacity preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Certification or training in providing support to participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) preferred.
- Familiarity with NDIS policies, procedures, and standards is an advantage.
- NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children's Check will be requested upon offer of employment
