Position Overview:
Partizan Health, now part of the DKSH group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Casual Nurse to join our team. This unique role involves direct interaction with patients to educate them about prescribed pharmaceuticals and support them in managing their own health. The work is task-based, focusing on patient visits, virtual consultations, phone calls, and detailed note-taking related to nursing interactions. Our ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with excellent communication skills, capable of fostering patient empowerment and improving health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-person patient visits and virtual consultations to educate them on pharmaceuticals, ensuring they understand their prescriptions and the importance of adherence.
  • Provide support to patients in starting to manage and feel empowered to manage their own health.
  • Complete detailed and accurate notes after each interaction with patients.
    Perform related tasks, including phone calls and follow-ups, to ensure ongoing patient support. 
  • Attend comprehensive training, which is compensated, to stay updated on current pharmaceutical industry patient support practices.
    Collaborate with the Partizan Health team to ensure consistent patient care

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration (Ideally 3 years post degree)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex medical concepts in a simple, understandable manner.
  • Willingness to travel for in-person patient visits; mileage compensation is provided. 
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule, accommodating other life and family commitments.
  • Comfortable with technology, including video conferencing software, electronic health records, and other digital tools. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in patient education or pharmaceutical support is an advantage.
  • Working with Children Check, Current CPR/First Aid, Handwashing, Police Check.
