Established by Wesley Mission in 1963, Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland is one of 41 proud members of the Lifeline Australia network.
Lifeline is Australia’s largest national phone support service, answering over a million calls a year. We support more than 30,000 people annually through our 13 11 14 crisis support service.
Role Overview
This office-based position is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and engaging funding partners through fundraising or bequests and other opportunities that may develop. This role leads our work to increase our impact by training and equipping more volunteers to answer calls.
The Partnership Lead is responsible for building relationships, growing financial support through partnerships, coordinating events to raise targeted funds, and managing general business development activities for Lifeline Sydney and Lifeline Sutherland.
Key Responsibilities
- identify, source, and engage funding partners through corporate partnerships, fundraising and bequests
- develop relationships and financial support through partnerships
- coordinate events to raise funds for Lifeline Sydney & Sutherland
- conduct general activities to increase funding for this service with monthly and quarterly KPIs
- engage with and support Volunteers to increase Lifeline Sydney and Sutherland’s profile, partnerships and impact
- support and supervise staff, events, activities and projects across the Sydney and Sutherland region.
Selection Criteria
- proven experience in partnership development, book fairs and/or fundraising
- excellent relationship-building and management skills
- experience in event coordination
- strong communication and negotiation skills
- ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- current, unrestricted licence and a willingness to drive between sites as required
- high proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and database systems.
Desirable Skills/Knowledge
- experience working in a community or corporate partnerships position with financial KPIs.
- experience introducing new systems/solutions to people.
- qualifications in sales, events management, and business administration or relevant experience.
