Automotive Parts Interpreter -  1st Year Apprenticeship

Our client a family-owned business in Townsville is offering an entry level opportunity to be trained as parts interpreter for a globally recognised brand offering the full scope of training needed to become a skilled parts interpreter. Parts interpreters are currently in high demand as reflected by the willingness of employers to pay qualified interpreters very well. 

Successful applicants will be provided with a high level of support and trained by highly skilled tradespeople in all aspects of the trade leading to completion as a well-rounded trades person confident in having gained a broad range of knowledge. We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate who has a passion for working in motor industry with utes, sedans, 4WDs and sports working in a national dealership and is eager to learn more about the industry. This opportunity is viewed as a long-term employment opportunity as our client is willing to impart their years of industry knowledge and experience.

THE ROLE

Working as part of a extremely busy team, as an Automotive Parts Interpreter you will be trained to identify, select and distribute automotive parts as part of a wholesale/retail business to the workshop, public and the automotive service industry. As customer service business it is important to possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to retain information and operate in a fast-paced environment; use of company vehicles will also be required for customer deliveries.

ABOUT YOU

• Excellent customer service, communication, and inter-personal skills
• Neat personal appearance
• Passion for automotive and mechanical (particularly 4WDs)
• Good computer and administration knowledge and skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
• Committed to customer service
• Motivated to build a career in the Automotive Industry
• Ability to follow direction and retain information
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and medical exam
• Live locally in the Townsville area
• Current drivers’ manual licence
• Recent SCHOOL LEAVERS are encouraged to apply
