Maddington Toyota are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Automotive Parts Manager to join our team.
You will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to the sale of parts and accessories to internal and external customers. The role will involve the timely issuing of parts to service/workshop and retail customers as well as dealing with incoming telephone queries and orders in an efficient polite and professional manner.
Role:
- Providing leadership and direction to Parts employees to ensure sales activities align with broader business plan
- Monitoring and evaluating sales revenue, margins and expense performance to maintain profit goals and initiating corrective action
- Building and maintaining customer loyalty and support, including the maintenance of existing clients and canvassing prospective new business
- Ensure daily orders are placed on time
- Monitor inward and outward freight arrangements
- Control and reconcile cash sales daily
- Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the department, ensuring stock is readily available without carrying excessive inventory
- Regular reporting of sales performance against set targets with variance and revised projections in conjunction with the General Manager
You:
- Possess strong technical/mechanical knowledge and ability
- Have a wide/broad range of parts on various vehicle brands
- Excellent telephone and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, with excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Career minded with a "Can Do" attitude
- Be flexible and enjoy working in a team environment
- Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and helpful
- Respectful and courteous to customers and colleagues
- Resilient with a drive to succeed, honest with high levels of integrity
- Previous experience in a Parts Interpreter role with leadership responsibilities is essential
