About the role:
The Pastoral Care/Chaplaincy Team provides spiritual and emotional support to residents living in residential care or retirement living and their families, and CBCS staff.
Responsibilities:
- Involvement in on-site Church/Chapel services, delivery of Bible talks, Bible studies, devotions and coordination of volunteers.
- Liaising with relevant religious/spiritual leaders to coordinate provision of spiritual support to clients and their families where appropriate.
- Providing prayerful spiritual/emotional support to residents, families, and staff.
- Regularly liaising with clinical team members for the purpose of receiving feedback, identifying need, and reporting back on any changes in Pastoral Care requirements.
About you:
- Commitment to align with the vision, mission, and values of CBCS.
- Understanding of and experience with older people, including those with dementia.
- Strong personal and active Christian faith and church involvement.
- Theological/Pastoral Care qualifications and experience.
- Demonstrated capacity to pastorally care for and enhance the wellbeing of those in need.
- Highly developed communication skills including listening, compassion and empathy.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
- Up to date COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations.
