Mercy Health are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Pastoral Carer at our Health Ageing Mercy Place Lathlain location. Nestled between Belmont and Victoria Park and just 10 minutes from the heart of Perth, Mercy Place Lathlain is a supportive and caring community dedicated to living well.
This roles forms part of the large team of care staff, hospitality, lifestyle, allied health and clinical specialists who ensure the needs, including spiritual, of all our residents are met.
The successful applicant will deliver high quality pastoral care for residents, families and staff, while promoting a contemporary understanding of pastoral and spiritual care. As the Pastoral Carer you will work with residents to provide support and respond effectively to their diverse spiritual and religious needs.
ABOUT YOU:
The successful applicant will have -
- At least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or other relevant qualification;
- Theological and/or other relevant graduate qualifications; and have
- Proficient computer skills

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
- Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
- Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health’s policy (includes but is not limited to COVID-19 and seasonal influenza vaccination compliance requirement).
