Salary: $58,000 Plus 10.5% Superannuation

Hours: 38-40 hours

Mode: Full time

Experience required: 2 years plus experience in relevant roles

Positions: 2 positions required

Meze Confectionery has started its activity since 1392 with a new and different approach in the field of baking and supplying homemade sweets with the aim of promoting healthy and suitable nutrition for all family members.

The store is looking for 2 experienced Pastry Cooks, A challenging role where applicants will be happy to explore beyond the boundaries.

The candidate in mind will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:

· Prepare and produce a wide variety of goods, such as cakes, pastries and other desserts including cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods.

· checking the quality of raw materials and maintaining good stock and waste control

· Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of foods are always of the highest quality.

· monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.

· Ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.

· Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.

· Assist in any menu tasting preparations.

· Have good knowledge in operating all pastry machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits effect.

· Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to and ensure the adequacy of supplies at cooking stations.

· Sound knowledge of work health and safety responsibilities and a commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and safe food handling and hygiene.

Other Responsibilities:

· Self-motivated and results driven.

· High level of personal cleanliness and hygiene

· Attention to detail - essential that the dishes are perfect when they leave the kitchen. A meticulous eye will instantly see possible issues and will fix them.

· Good communication abilities

Qualifications:

· Cert III in cake and Pastry (required)
