Pastry Cook

Zelda Bakery seeks hardworking and enthusiastic full-time Pastry Cooks and lamination gun to join our dedicated, committed and growing team. This position requires the successful candidate to be passionate about food and keen to showcase their ability in this fast-paced environment serving a loyal customer base. 

Role & Candidate

The role carries responsibility for preparation and execution of a variety of products to a high standard. Specific duties and tasks include and are not limited to: 

• All aspects of pastry preparation and be skilled in a variety of techniques including  lamination, shaping and baking both sweet and savoury pastries.  

• Must be experienced with croissants and puff pastry;

• Experienced with filings, custards, crumbles and glazes as required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Attention to detail and a commitment to culinary excellence

• Team player with excellent communication skills

• Strong motivation and eager to learn

• Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline and to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim.

• Operate and maintain all equipment and report any malfunctioning.

• Personally responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment and utensils.

Full-time working hours between Monday and Friday, no weekend work.

• Expected salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
