About the role:
Looking for someone either qualified or willing to learn the trade | Pastrycook / Chef/ Baker / Cook / Baker apprentice / Biscuit& Cake Baker to start immediately on Full Time basis.
These are full time positions with immediate start. The salary is $70K- $90K depending on the experience.
Full time position for Baker or Pastrycook / Chef / Baker apprentice We cover all aspects of the baking industry and can teach you the trade from start to finish in house. Also willing to offer an apprenticeship to anyone looking to get into the trade. Rewarding and satisfying trade seeing your hard work in the final products you produce.
In these positions you should be able to:
- Good knowledge and understanding of different types of pastry, breads, dessert, cake decorating.
- Applicants will be required to work some weekends, days and evenings, and School Holiday periods during the busy summer holiday trade.
- Positive attitude and Good communication skills
Biscuit and Cake Baker - In these positions you should be able to:
- Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, muffins, croissants, danish.
- Able to develop, designs, or creates new ideas and items for the business
- Manage all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen
- Maintain a lean and professional work environment and adhere to health and safety standards
Some experience would be an advantage but training will be given to the chosen employee.
Task and responsibilities.
- Prepare quality products following our recipes & yield guidelines according to set standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment in relation to OHS/WHS and food safety & hygiene.
- Ensure procedures, policies and high standards are carefully adhered to at all times.
- Respectful and professional communication style.
- Willingness to work at least one weekend day.
Skills and experience.
- Trade qualifictions or industry experience in a fast-paced retail bakery.
- Respectful and mature approach to working in a team environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised when required.
