Pasty Cook

We are seeking a skilled and passionate pastry cook to join our croissant bakehouse team. As a pastry cook, you will be responsible for producing high-quality croissants and other pastries, contributing to the success of our bakehouse through your expertise and dedication to the craft.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of croissants and pastries according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of all baked goods, paying close attention to detail.
• Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to plan production schedules and manage inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Contribute to the development of new pastry recipes and menu items, staying updated on industry trends and customer preferences.
• Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance baking skills and knowledge.
• Assist with the packaging and presentation of baked goods for retail and wholesale distribution.
• Uphold a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a pastry cook or baker, with a focus on laminated doughs and traditional pastry techniques.
• Strong knowledge of baking ingredients, equipment, and techniques, with an emphasis on croissant production.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-volume production setting, while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards, with a commitment to upholding these practices in the workplace.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse team members.
