Phlebotomist | Pathology Collection | North East Melbourne

* Casual ongoing assignment ($32.75 hour + super)

Locations:

• Heidelberg West
• Eltham
• Bulleen
• Viewbank
• Balwyn
• Fairfield 
• Ivanhoe

We have multiple positions available with varying shifts across the week so flexibility is required. Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on venepuncture experience is essential for a minimum of 6 months unsupervised not including placement hours
• Drug and alcohol testing is an advantage but not essential
• Collection of blood and other samples from patients 
• Experience in ECG's and Holter monitors
• Processing of Pathology Specimens 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Clerical duties and basic IT skills
• High-level communication skills with colleagues and patients 
• Ability to provide dedication to patient care
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• Comply with Work Health and Safety 

You must be:

• Eligible to work within Australia - Sponsorship is not available
• Experience in blood collection (at least 6 months in Australia)
• Current Police Check 
• AS4308 (Urine Drug Screen) Qualification would be an advantage
• Have a positive attitude
• Have a passion for Pathology Collection
• A clear and patient communicator
• Have a flexible approach to work and availability and be prepared to be deployed at different locations
