About the Opportunity
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking a part-time Pathology Specimen Collector to join their NSW Grafton team, working primarily in the Grafton Collection Centre.
The primary task of this role is to take blood samples from patients.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be to:
Provide quality patient care for our patients;
Collect blood and body fluid specimens including urine and faeces;
Record patient information in our database;
Complete online training via our eLearning training system; and
Liaise with referrers and ancillary services.
We are looking for a commitment to work shifts between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday and participation in a rotational Saturday roster.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills, along with dedication to excellent customer service. You must also be able to work independently as well as in a team and demonstrate the ability to perform tasks in a timely manner.
Candidates with Pathology Specimen collection experience will be held in high regard, although this is not essential. Staff members will be given a chance to develop their skills through ongoing training, providing an avenue for career development and advancement.
The high level of service provided by Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is delivered by a dedicated staff comprising of pathologists, scientists, technicians, laboratory assistants, collection personnel, couriers, computer personnel, pathology services assistants and other support staff. The successful candidate will join a welcoming team of dedicated health professionals with a focus on patient care.

Salary and Benefits
An attractive hourly rate, circa $26.54, will be offered to the successful applicant.
