ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and experienced administrator in the role of Patient Finance Liaison Officer (PFLO). The PFLO is a patient engagement role that works closely with the WMH Billings and Receivables team and requires the ability to build strong relationships with patients and internal and external stake holders.
Summary of the role:
The PFLO is responsible for
  • Identifying and liaising with Private, Compensable and Medicare Ineligible patients at all admission entry points
  • Confirming Medicare, Health Fund and Compensable eligibility
  • Preparing Informed Financial Consent Forms
  • Assisting patients to make an informed election
  • Securing payments, establishing payment plans and preparing financial hardship applications where required
  • Performing a wide range of administrative tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
  • 0.89 EFT
  • HS2 Classification
  • WMH
ABOUT YOU:
  • Previous PFLO experience desirable or appropriate education / experience within a similar role (essential)
  • Proven ability to communicate with patients, staff and billing agents at all levels and of diverse backgrounds (essential)
  • Sound interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Commitment to quality service delivery and ability to promote a professional and caring image
  • Experience with Patient Management Systems (iPM) – desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry (essential)
