The Queensland Eye Institute has a fantastic opportunity for a professional and motivated Patient Liaison and Theatre Bookings officer to join their busy specialist medical practice. The main function of the role will be to assist patients with their Theatre Bookings and generate theatre lists for the hospital.
Maintaining a mature work ethic, you will be first point of contact for doctors and patients and will be required to provide a high level of service to internal and external patients.
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Engage with our patients to facilitate their surgery
- Complete the bookings process with the patients
- Communicate with the Private Hospitals to coordinate surgical lists and booking requirements
- Build relationships with Hospital Staff
- Explain processes to patients
- Process payments for Surgical Fees for the Doctors
- Coordinate the booking for the anaesthetist for the lists
- Generate theatre lists for the hospitals
- Communicate theatre times with the patients
- Speak to Health Funds to determine patient eligibility for theatre
- Provide assistance with Theatre Bookings and completion of necessary paperwork
