Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated, known as ACHA Health, is one of the largest private not-for-profit hospital groups in South Australia. ACHA Health comprises Ashford Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and The Memorial Hospital.
Flinders Private Hospital is seeking an experienced theatre PSA to join the peri-operative team. This position will work in collaboration with nursing staff to provide safe and quality patient care by assisting with patient transport as well as turning over theatres and Preparing for next case.
The Flinders Private operating suite is comprised of 9 theatres and operates electively over a 6-day week.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead by example, demonstrating the values of ACHA and Flinders Private
- Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
- Greet all patients/visitors/guests within the hospital with a friendly demeanour and answer enquiries
- Going above and beyond with caring for our patients
- Comply with site WHS policy, infection control standards and policy and procedures
Essential Criteria:
- Preferable - minimum 1 year PSA experience
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of manual handling techniques and patient safety
- Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and customers
- Working with Children check
