- Classification: Administration Officer Level 3 Year 1-2
- Remuneration: $33.30-$34.33 per hour, excluding superannuation.
- 7 day a week roster - rotating day shift and afternoon shift only
About the role
The Patient Services Officer is responsible for providing a courteous, effective and efficient patient support service. This includes obtaining the required medical records; running i.PM reports, maintaining information for electronic whiteboard, patient transport bookings, handling telephone inquiries and providing general clerical support for the clinical team as requested.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain patient medical records to ensure correct data entry.
- Provide accurate, timely clerical support for Clinical Nursing Unit Manager and clinical team.
- Receive incoming telephone calls. Redirect calls, take and record messages for staff, follow through as necessary.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with.i.PM and medical record management.
- Communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with an excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team in periods of high demand and activity.
The Calvary Mater Newcastle is an Affiliated Health Organisation providing services to both public and private patients primarily from the Hunter New England area. Current employees of NSW Health can request to have various leave entitlement balances transferred to Calvary Mater Newcastle on commencement.
