The Company
Our client is a well-known and successful Retail business with a great work culture. With a showroom and office located in Alexandria, our client is on the lookout for an experienced Payroll and Accounts Officer to join their team. This organisation has bright modern offices and a positive working environment best suited for you if you are keen to continue your accounting career. WFH hybrid arrangement is available.
The Role
Reporting to a supportive CFO and sitting within a broader finance team, your role will include the following duties:
- Payroll for 70 staff on a fortnightly basis
- Full function Accounts Payable duties
- Performing bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Month-end – journals, balance sheet reconciliations, cashflow forecasts
- Stakeholder management with suppliers, supply chain and internal staff
Your Background
To be considered for this Payroll / Accounts Officer role, our client is open to candidates coming from a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant / Officer or Payroll Officer background. You will have:
- Full function experience in Payroll and Accounts Payable
- Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliation
- Good attention to detail and desire to be hands-on and continue learning
- Passion for working in a busy environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite, together with a strong attention to detail and a ‘can do’ work ethic
