The Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Payroll / Accounts Payable Officer to join our client on a permanent basis. Whether you're seeking full-time employment or prefer a part-time arrangement, working three days a week, this role offers flexibility. As the successful candidate, you'll be responsible for managing payroll, Accounts Payable, and compliance, utilising ELMO for payroll and Deltec for accounts. Our client boasts a positive work culture and a strong pipeline of projects, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment.
The Role
As the Payroll / Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the CFO and Finance team in managing payroll and Accounts Payable functions. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Processing fortnightly payroll and maintaining employee records
• Contacting employees to resolve timesheet issues promptly
• Undertaking payroll maintenance and upgrades in payroll and project management software systems to ensure system integrity and accuracy
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly payroll tax returns
• Checking and verifying invoices before entering them into the accounts system

The Ideal Person
The ideal person for this role will have 2-3 years’ experience in payroll, Accounts Payable or bookkeeping within a business. You will also have:

• Sound knowledge of payroll and Accounts Payable systems and processes
• Experience in payroll processing and software
• Proficient in the use of Office 365
• Initiative, attention to detail

Salary / Rate

• $70k - $80k + Super
• Permanent opportunity, fulltime or part-time arrangements available
