About the role
Navitas is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the development and execution of strategic and operational plans that drive growth, profitability and quality education outcomes for ACAP.

As the General Manager of ACAP and part of the wider divisional executive team overseeing multiple business units, you'll have the exciting task of providing inspiring leadership to a well-established senior leadership team. Your vision and execution will be crucial in developing, recommending, and implementing strategies and business plans aimed at driving positive student outcomes, revenue growth and profitability.
You'll also play a key role in fostering a progressive and adaptable culture within the organisation, one that prioritises continuous improvement, student success, innovation, and growth.
Day-to-day, you'll oversee operational management, staff allocation and development, as well as financial management and controls.
Additionally, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting on budgeted outcomes and controlling expenditure.
Moreover, you'll nurture and enhance relationships with key regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and educational standards.

The ideal candidate
This role is suited to an experienced and influential leader with extensive experience in the Higher Education sector, you lead by example, and are operationally strategic with demonstrated success in managing budgets and financial control whilst driving a positive and progressive culture where change is fluid. Your strong emotional intelligence and ability to make good judgement calls are essential to success, met with your clear vision, strategic approach and exceptional communication skills.
Applicants must meet and address the essential criteria
- Significant senior/executive leadership and management experience in Higher Education and vocational education
- High-level experience in budget management with a track record in driving business performance and delivering strong financial results
- Excellent strategic planning and organisational skills
- Evidence in your ability to lead teams, and drive change, challenging the status quo, and achieving strategic objectives in a progressive educational environment
- Post-graduate business studies or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of and/or experience working with professional bodies
- Experience navigating diverse organisational structures and locations
- You are located in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide with full working rights in Australia
