Ayme Staffing is partnering with a leading supplier to the construction industry who services clients across Australia on a range of construction projects. Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Receivable officer to join their team on a full-time basis at their head office, based in Bathurst.  

About the role 

The Accounts and Payroll officer is responsible for processing weekly pay runs for internal employees, processing customer invoices and managing debtor payments. Working as part of the finance team you will be responsible for ensuring that accurate records are kept and providing a high level of customer service to clients regarding their account enquiries. 

Key responsibilities of the role include: 

• Raising invoices and processing accounts receivable. 
• Maintaining information in the database for accurate reporting. 
• Debtor management including tracking payments and following up on outstanding payments.  
• Assisting with customer enquiries. 
• Processing weekly pay run for internal employees, including PAYG, super and deductions in line with ATO requirements. 
• Completion of reconciliation and reporting. 

Role Requirements 

• Previous experience in a Payroll and Accounts position.
• Experience using XERO or similar accounting package. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with regards to internal information.
• Strong problem solving skills.
