The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Payroll and Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team.
This is a permanent full-time office-based role, located in Welshpool, WA; with an early August start to facilitate a supported handover.
Key responsibilities:
Payroll
- Process weekly payroll with accuracy, efficiency and a meticulous attention to detail
- Interpret modern awards and ensure compliance with legislation
- First point of contact for employees and managers for pay and leave related queries
- Mobilise teams to client sites as required (On-boarding, site inductions, medical booking)
- Exciting opportunity to be integral to system implementation and process improvement of HR and OHS functions
Accounts Payable
- Processing end-to-end Accounts Payable
- Assist with month-end processes, reconciliation and ad hoc reporting as required
- Answering customer and staff enquiries via phone and email
- Other varied administrative tasks and general office duties as required
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven 2-3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in business accounting and payroll packages (we currently use MYOB Exonet and Definitiv however this will evolve)
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills
- Proactive and motivated to improve processes and systems
- Desire for continuous improvement and growth
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational, time management and problem solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
