Job summary:
You will be processing weekly and fortnightly pay for NZ payforce. The successful candidate administers and participates in payroll processing activities for various payroll groups including the preparation, processing and balancing of payroll. Ensures all information received from data interfaces and manual data sources is uploaded to the system without error. Utilizes internal or external payroll technologies for payroll processing activities.
Key responsibilities:
Administers and processes payroll according to internal procedures.
Ensures payments are calculated and paid accurately and timely; ensures proper calculation of taxes and deductions.
Provides customer support to the sites including any off-cycle or replacement payments needed.
Reviews the information prepared for general ledger entries and other accounting and financial reporting activities associated with payroll.
Participates in the review and preparation of data necessary for the filing of payroll related tax returns and miscellaneous withholding forms.
Completes year end process including year end adjustments, year end tax statements and review of year end tax filing information.
Serves as an internal and external resource on payroll related inquiries.
Participates in continuous improvement projects and initiatives; supports the development and maintenance of payroll process documentation.
Ensures compliance with internal controls on payroll systems and compliance with tax and other payroll related legislation.
