We are looking for an experienced and detail orientated leader who:
- fosters a high-performing team culture through coaching and mentoring.
- will ensure accurate and timely processing of full function payrolls.
- Is eager to develop and implement new processes and systems.
As the Payroll Manager, you be responsible for the management of all payroll groups nationally, in addition to taking full ownership of the payroll function. You will also add value to the business through continuous improvement and providing exceptional services to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee processing of payroll and associated changes.
- Ensure payroll compliance.
- Resolve escalated payroll-related questions and issues.
- Manage all statutory obligations - PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation.
- Administer Workcover and Paid Parental Leave in line with regulations and company policy.
- Administer all incentives and benefits in line with policies.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes to ensure a robust risk control environment as it relates to the payroll area.
- Develop time and attendance and payroll systems to support the business requirements.
- Regular reporting and engagement with key stakeholders, Executive Team, State Managers, Business Operations Managers and Service Managers.
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing a full function payroll of 1000+ employees.
- Experience with payroll software and systems - knowledge of TANDA & Micropay payroll system will be highly regarded.
- Exceptional data entry and administrative skills, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
- Current knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures and operations and related legislation.
- Solid financial acumen with in-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing.
- Proven experience in leadership positions within a high volume and multi-site payroll environment.
- Ability to interpret relevant payroll and compliance legislation and changes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong excel and reporting abilities.
- Great teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
