Our client is a leading manufacture seeking a Payroll Manager to join their organisation. As Payroll Manager is to ensure the timely, effective management of payroll for all Australian and New Zealand employees, ensuring that all aspects of payroll including relevant EA, Award and legislative requirements are adhered to.
The Payroll Manager will report directly to the Group Human Resources Manager your duties will be:
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll related regulations including the Fair Work Act, Australian Taxation and Superannuation legislation.
• Responsible for the accurate payroll processing for all employees on the weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Liaise with supervisors regularly, to ensure Payroll is kept up to date with changes affecting Payroll.
•Responsible for proactive follow-up of payroll errors and timely response to queries from employees regarding pay issues.
• Identify process improvement strategies and drive change.
• Act as payroll subject matter expert.
• Review, identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to the efficiency and functionality of current payroll and Time & Attendance systems, software and procedures including investigation and resolution of one off and recurring complex or technical problems.
• On request develop ad hoc reports for Executive and Senior Management
Candidate Profile:
• Minimum five years advanced payroll experience is essential.
• Award and EBA interpretation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills – intermediate, in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Advanced knowledge of Access Micropay, ConnX HRIS and Workforce management Australia Timekeeping Systems.
