AddressThis is a great temporary opportunity for an experienced hands on Payroll Manager to work for this national organisation located in the Docklands. Opportunity to work hybrid.
To commence immediately, this is a temporary opportunity for approximately 6 - 8 weeks, supervising one payroll officer.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing end to end support for all payroll functions
• Managing 2 complex monthly payrolls, and back up to weekly and fortnightly payrolls (600 staff in total)
• Ensure that all weekly, fortnightly and monthly and annual reporting activities are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner and any conflicting priorities are managed so that reporting timeframes are met.
• Calculating taxation, superannuation, workers compensation and other mandatory statutory payments
• Termination and Redundancy calculations
• Interpretation of up to 10 EBA’s and awards
• Accurately create and revise payroll system rules.
• Resolve payroll enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Effective management of novated lease deductions.
• Workers Compensation:
oReconciling workers compensation payments and reimbursements from insurers;
oLiaising with insurers, P&C, and employees in relation to workers compensation payments;
oCompleting wage estimates and wage declarations in line with annual workers insurance requirements; and,
oRegular reporting on workers compensation claims and associated payments.
Ideally the candidate will have:
• Experience working in a complex national payroll environment
• Experience working in a hands on payroll management role
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong work ethic, strong team player and attention to detail
• Available immediately and available to commit to a 6 week assignment
