About the role:
A new opportunity has been presented for a Payroll Officer to join our warm and friendly team. This is a permanent part time opportunity, with flexible work options for the right candidate. The position is responsible for assisting with the processing and administration of monthly payroll for approximately 50 head office employees, plus the ad hoc leave coverage payroll of our 380 site-based employees when the need arises.
As the ideal candidate, you will be an innovative and improvement focused individual, proficient in using the Aurion payroll system or ELMO to timely and accurately process end to end payroll. You will also have strong experience with processing payroll with the ability to understand, interpret and apply employment legislation including Fair Work, Modern Awards and Enterprise Bargaining/Collective agreements. Willing to be adaptable to supplementary HR tasks not limited to assisting the team with onboarding and roster changes.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Proficiency in using Aurion or ELMO payroll program is a must for this role.
- Accurately and timely end to end processing of payroll.
- Providing supplementary HR administrative services to facilitate onboarding and position changes within the organisation
