Role Summary
The Payroll Officer role is a newly created Part-Time opportunity in our Payroll Team based at our Perth Head Office site.
This role is responsible for administering and maintaining the operation of the payroll to ensure timely and accurate production, driving a positive employee experience, and supporting organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
- Work with the Payroll Lead to coordinate, direct and control end to end payroll preparation, processing, and distribution.
- Work collaboratively with the Payroll Lead to manage, optimise, and oversee governance and application of the payroll processes and systems to ensure timely and accurate payroll for Synergy.
- Interpretation of policies, employment contracts, legislative instruments (EA’s) across Synergy’s various pay groups to ensure accurate payroll through compliant and robust processes in a timely manner.
- Administering and calculating employee benefits, leave entitlements, salary sacrifice arrangements, termination payments and validation of payroll system calculations.
- Manage HR records management (e.g., payroll data and personnel files) through the application of Synergy’s document management systems (DM).
- Demonstrated experience processing and delivery of payroll as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide advice on policies, employment contracts, legislative instruments, and agreements.
- Experience in the processing and the delivery of payroll services using SAP HCM is preferred.
