Our client is a large global pharmaceutical organization who have a range of well-known over the counter and prescription medicines and supplements. They have an established workplace culture and are involved in humanitarian efforts worldwide.
About the role
As the Payroll Officer, you are responsible for providing timely and rigorous processing of all salaried employee pay. You will be a trusted advisor on all system related matters and ensure all new employees are onboarded correctly. This role will report into a head of HR and will liaise with other senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Payroll System update
- Process New and Terminated employees within reasonable time frame.
- Update and process Employee changes
- EOM Finance and Management reporting
- Payroll clearing reconciliation.
- Third party payments (Super, Union Fees, Child Support)
- Participate in Payroll audit (internal and external)
- Assist other Senior Payroll Officers as required
- Prepare analytical reports for management
- Prepares payment approval for payroll processing
- Audit employee pay records and reconciles payroll reports
- Initiate systems implementation and upgrade
- Implement Systems process and improvement
- Check and verify payroll entries
- Interpret pay policies, such as leave of absence, leave accruals
- Compliance of legislation updates
- EOY Processes
- 5+ years’ experience in a payroll processing position
- ADP Payroll software experience essential.
- EBA and award interpretation experience
- Good communication ability whilst liaising with senior stakeholders.
- Advanced excel skills.
