The role: The Payroll function has recently been through an entire system implementation across Payroll, HRIS & T&A. Subsequently, several Payroll-related projects have been identified that require immediate attention. The key project subjects are:
Payroll Compliance and Commercial Analysis
- Undertake analysis of payroll outcomes against award requirements.
- Test and confirm that systems are configured and meeting business and legislative needs
- Review payroll variance and change, undertake analysis, and develop insights into what is occurring.
- Identify opportunities for improved workforce management practices and systems enhancement and business decision-making
- Development of relevant SOPs for Payroll and HR Operations activities
- Project manage payroll remediation projects working closely with the Payroll and People Systems Manager and Employment Law and Compliance Manager.
- Maintain project timetables and prepare updates to keep key internal stakeholders abreast of project status, key risks/issues and decision points.
- Maintain communications and documentation tracker and appropriate file outcomes as part of project closure.
- Ensure payroll actions completed, including processing requirements, with the Payroll Team.
- Apply payroll, award interpretation, and employment law expertise to key projects.
- Develop tools and resources to support the business in managing a highly variable workforce
- Partner and work on assigned payroll or payroll system-related projects.
- Develop resource guides and learning materials to support workforce management and workforce management tools.
Key experience will include:
- The ability to successfully project manage projects and outcomes in a fast-paced environment, with accuracy and to agreed deadlines.
- The ability to consult broadly, build on different perspectives and communicate regularly with key customers.
- The ability to build and analyse data from multiple sources into meaningful reports.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Awareness of reporting tools and data table structures.
- Strong customer service and collaboration orientation.
A salary (or daily rate) of circa $150,000 - $160,000 + Super is on offer to the successful candidate, depending on your previous relevant experience. The company currently operates on a hybrid office/ WFH basis and is close to public transport options. Please note this is NOT an opportunity to work remotely.
