In your new job, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and delivering the end-to-end payroll functions. You’ll be meticulous about accuracy and date integrity. You will be reporting to Peta (Payroll Manager) and working alongside five other payroll team members. The rest of the payroll team is based in Tasmania, so you’ll be comfortable in working with a remote team - but don’t stress, the lovely members of the wider People & Culture team will be with you in our brand-new Olympic Park office!
Tassal has 10 enterprise agreements and 4 modern awards, so you’ll be experienced in interpreting multiple enterprise agreements and awards. You’ll also have good computer skills, including MS Excel. You are a team player who’ll be able to lead and support projects to enhance our payroll processes.
On a typical day you could find yourself doing any of the below tasks:
- Processing end-to-end payroll with utmost accuracy.
- Managing employee records in the payroll and time and attendance systems, ensuring proper establishment of new employees and terminations as needed.
- Ensuring timely payroll processing in compliance with industrial instruments, current legislation, company policies, and procedures.
- Proficiently interpreting multiple enterprise agreements and awards.
- Supporting year end and monthly payroll activities to meet all requirements.

What you’ll need
You won’t need much- just your previous end-to-end payroll experience, experience using Chris 21, willingness to travel to Tasmania as required and a great attitude!
