Pega Senior System Architect

This role will work exclusively on a large transformation program within the department. The program is delivering a new suite of integrated platforms and will work as part of a cross functional team to design and deliver a BPM solution in accordance with business requirements and based on principles of re-usability, security, scalability and quality.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Drive application development best practices for the design and build and support functions including business process automation using Pega's software development platform.
• Undertake application debugging, performance tuning, system maintenance and address security requirements.
• Support technical planning and test planning & execution whilst providing technical support covering both functional and non-function requirements (ie, security, reporting, data, integration, UX and deployments).
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and
• Act as a platform and technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the organization and pro- actively respond to ad-hoc questions.
• Provide peer reviews and quality assurance for developers within and across scrum teams to ensure consistent development practices are applied.
• Create technical specifications, plans and other documentation for reference, reporting and transition to support teams.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• Extensive development and unit testing experience with the Pega Platform and knowledge of and experience with one or more programming languages.
• Knowledge of software/database design, Object-Oriented techniques and Relational database
• Ability to mentor, provide direction and guidance to other team members including a demonstrated ability to quality assure development practices.
• Experience with the Agile Software Development Lifecycle as well as working in iterative, incremental and agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, ScrumBan, SAFe).
