How your role makes a difference
As the People and Culture Advisor, you will be the central point for all People and HR related matters with ownership of policies, WHS, performance management, compliance and employee engagement.
Key responsibilities you will have:
- Oversee the continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Lead the development and execution of talent management initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, and succession planning
- Lead implementation of FSO’s People and Culture Strategy
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and values-aligned organisational culture through processes and internal communication
- Chair the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Committee and lead on all Health, Safety and Wellbeing activities for our team
- Provide coaching, training, and support to managers on effective people management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement
- Analyse Staff Engagement Survey data and metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and measure impact of initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Future Skills Organisation (FSO) is a not-for-profit organisation focused on designing, trialing and scaling new ways of training to equip learners with the digital skills needed to meet a rapidly changing, technological future. This has been amazing and satisfying work.
Building on FSO’s success to date we are the Jobs and Skills Council (JSC) for the Finance, Technology and Business (FTB) Sectors where we work with employers, training providers, and Governments to ensure the relevancy of skills training. And we need a team of people who share our commitment and passion to drive change on behalf of the Nation.

Our key selection criteria:
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in a people-focused advisory role
- Experience creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing organisational culture
- Expertise in developing and implementing effective HR programs and initiatives
- Presentation skills, including write reports and presenting complex findings and recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet multiple competing deadlines
- Experience in a complex, ambiguous and ever-changing environment
- A collaborative mind set which embodies our core values
- You have experience successfully delivering in a remote based role
Even better:
- Tertiary qualification in HR
- Experience in the area/s of VET/ training or government-based organisation
- Understanding of a wide range of industry and employee organisations, with knowledge of the interdependencies and complexities between those groups
- Experience with Asana, HubSpot, and CultureAmp
