Public Sector People are currently seeking an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join a Council in Melbourne's north-west on a temporary contract through until October 2024.
As the People & Culture Advisor you will play a pivotal in supporting the People & Culture functions, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and organisational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support on a range of HR issues, including conflict resolution, employee engagement, and policy interpretation.
- Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting and candidate screening to interviews and onboarding.
- Support the performance review process, providing guidance to managers and employees on best practices and development plans.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance organisational culture, employee engagement, and continuous learning.
- Ensure HR practices are compliant with current legislation and company policies.
- Proven experience in a similar People & Culture role, preferably within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices and current employment laws.
- Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to HR challenges.
