About our team:
PCO plays a crucial role in shaping business strategy and the decision-making process at Murdoch University. We are a collaborative team of HR professionals dedicated to delivering strategic and operational programs and services that support and enhance staff experience and Murdoch strategy.
The Opportunity
As the Advisory Team Leader, you will lead a team of dedicated PCO Advisors and a People Services Officer as key contributors to supporting the University across generalist HR queries. Working closely with the People Services Manager, you will guide the team in providing expert advice and operational support throughout the employee lifecycle whilst managing your own Advisory portfolio.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of PCO Advisors and Officer, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Workday Integration: Lead the adoption and utilization of Workday HCM, leveraging your advanced skills to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provision of Excellent Service: to your Advisory portfolio of Academic and Professional Leaders
- Knowledge Sharing: Use your expertise to elevate the team's capabilities in HR management and Workday HCM Core, ensuring timely and accurate HR support.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HR operations, optimizing processes and enhancing service delivery.
- Project Support: Lead and support strategic HR initiatives aligned with our People and Culture Operations Plan, contributing to organizational success.
What You'll Bring:
- HR Expertise: Degree in HRM or related field, coupled with substantial HR operations experience or equivalent training.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and inspire teams, promoting a positive work environment and a culture of growth.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Workday HCM or similar HRIS/ERPs, or a strong aptitude for learning new systems.
- Strategic Insight: Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies within large organizations.
- Results-Driven Execution: Demonstrate adeptness in resolving HR issues, concurrently overseeing multiple initiatives, and achieving outcomes within timelines.
