The bare roots of the job…
The People & Culture Officer will provide support and assistance to the P & C team across a broad scope of human resources activities, including but not limited to administration, workers compensation, safety, recruitment, training, information systems and projects.

The ideal candidate will say yes to the above questions and will have the following skills to be successful in the role:
- Have highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administration skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritise their work effectively
- The ability to maintain and foster close work relationships
- Have a strong customer/service delivery focus
- Be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and will have the ability to learn new systems quickly
- A current Tasmanian Drivers Licence (or the ability to obtain) is also a requirement of this position
It is desirable for the successful candidate to have a reasonable combination of some of the following:
- A qualification (i.e. Bachelors degree or a Certificate IV) in a relevant discipline
- Knowledge/understanding of contemporary human resources management practices
- Suitable levels of experience in a People and Culture role/team
