Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager, this is a great opportunity for a passionate Safety Business Partner to join a supportive and collaborative team. The role provides proactive safety management, support and guidance around safety strategies and recommendations to ensure our Supply Chain teams and distribution centres are safe.
This role is based at our Distribution Center in Ipswich, QLD, with ad hoc travel to Western Australia. This role is part time and 12 monthsFixed Term.

This exciting opportunity will be responsible for:
- Assist the National Safety Manager in developing and executing the safety strategy
- Developing and implementation of training program & schedule
- Development and maintaining site inductions
- Review external audits and findings to ensure all recommendations have been actioned.
- Development and execution of Emergency Management
- Development and review of Safety Policies & Procedures
- Development of Risk Assessment Register
- Participate in investigations of serious injuries and incidents
- Facilitate and manage risk assessments in relation to business operations
- Develop and review safety documentation
- Initiate and promote WHS programs and drive compliance
- Participate in safety committee meetings and internal and external meetings relating to Supply Chain
- Prepare safety documents and reports as required
- Implement control measures and proactive safety recommendations aligning with industry best practice
- Champion mental health and wellbeing programs and initiatives
About you and your experience:
- Experience managing safety in a Supply Chain / warehousing environment
- Graduate certificate or Diploma in WHS Management is desirable
- Fire Safety Advisor (Qld Preferred)
- Chain of Responsibility Accreditation (Preferred)
- Understanding of ISO 45001 and best practice
- Highly motivated
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to influence outcomes
- High attention to detail
- Refined time management and organisational skills
- The ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Problem solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to influencing safety outcomes in a consultative manner
