Job DescriptionOceanaGold is seeking a professional and highly motivated
Business Partner -
People & Culture to join our People and Culture Team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President -People, this role will provide high quality and accurate P&C/ER/IR advice to managers and employees and support the delivery of our People strategy. This role requires the ability to work at pace, managing multiple priorities and deadlines, and confidence when interacting with senior stakeholders.
Key tasks and responsibilities:- Provide guidance and support to leaders and employees on people-related matters, including policies, benefits, and career development.
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and mentoring leaders on performance improvement strategies.
- Implement and administer P&C programs such as employee engagement initiatives, and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations by staying updated on changes and advising on best practices.
- Handle P&C administrative tasks including maintaining employee records, processing payroll changes, and preparing reports and analytics.
- Collaborate with Colleagues and business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
QualificationsDescribe the requirements and skills needed for the job.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the mining sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
