BTI Executive Search have a partnered with a Bank that operates nationally. An opening has become available for a Branch Manager or an experienced People Leader with Mortgage/Lending experience to be trained and mentored to become a Branch Manager.
The Role:
My client is seeking a Mortgage/Lending Specialist with leadership experience for a Branch Manager role. If you are a Branch Manager or would like to step up to a Branch Manager role please reach out.
As a Branch Manager you will be responsible for the overall business performance of the branch and manage a team of 4 retail bankers at varying levels.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management-
- Set targets for the team and monitor daily and weekly performance
- Coordinate weekly/monthly meetings to provide the team with an overview of branch performance and key focuses for the day/week ahead
- Provide regular performance feedback and guidance on a 1-2-1 basis to each individual team member to support and develop skills
- Coordinate weekly/monthly meetings in the branch to collaborate with the team, celebrate successes and drive targets and promotions
- Oversee the end-to-end loan process for customers from application stage through to settlement, maximizing all opportunities to cross sell to customers
- Be the main point of contact for any escalated customer issues to minimize disputes
- Achieve key performance indicators in both personal and home lending targets set
- Build relationships with customers to gain feedback to ensure customer needs are being met and the perceptions of the branch remain positive
- Review the banks policies and procedures and ensure the branch staff are following them accordingly
- Generate new business opportunities by attending external meetings with potential customers
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports and presentations for leadership meetings
- People leadership experience – has led and developed a team – 2+ years
- Mortgage/lending experience - highly desirable
- High level of numeracy skills – has an understanding of P&L, profitability and growth reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Experience in preparing sales reports
