People Operations Advisor

The Position
We are currently recruiting a People Operations Advisor reporting to our GM of People; and partnering with key leadership stakeholders. The People Operations Advisor role, forms part of a National People Team that is instrumental in driving HR initiatives and practices particularly amongst the growth within the healthcare sector of the business across various site locations.
The role will focus on various aspects providing strategic and operational guidance of People Operations, Talent Development, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations and People Analytics. This is underpinned by Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. The role will support people projects, leadership development and skills training and compliance in order to support operational excellence, based in our Sydney or Melbourne Offices.
- Provide timely advice and support to line managers on HR/ER matters including performance management, remuneration, and HR policies & procedures
- Coach line managers on how to engage, develop, share feedback and reward and retain their employees
- Assist in investigation and resolutions of employee grievances
- Roll-out HR initiatives, and tools, and monitor compliance with industrial instruments and HR metrics
- Collaborate with the broader HR team to ensure a seamless delivery to all stakeholders
- Assist with reporting and data requests with a guide in providing solutions within the client group to support decision making
- Extensive support within recruitment and selection activities, across internal and external positions
- Enterprise agreement (EA) negotiation and EA and award interpretation
- Leading core HR processes across employee life cycle overseeing key functions from recruitment to performance, talent reviews, compensation, incentives, and promotions.
- Partner with learning and development to enhance value-added areas of training, career mobility and job performance.
- Contribute to the continual development of HR programs with procedures that include recruitment, retention, compensation and learning and development.
The Person
- Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline
- Experience in Healthcare (desirable but not essential).
- Broad range of generalist HR experience as People Advisor
- Demonstrable experience in Awards and Enterprise Agreements interpretation
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Strong judgement, change management and decision-making expertise
- Thorough knowledge of labour legislation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment comfort with ambiguity
- A broad range of influencing skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive, well organised, and can work autonomously
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and high level of computer literacy
